About GoCheckMyEstate

Free tools for the task everyone postpones: finding out which estate documents you're missing, before anyone tries to sell you anything.

Why this exists

Most people know they "should have a will" and stop there, because the next step means either a law office or a sales funnel. What's missing is the diagnostic in between: which documents do you actually need, which do you already have, and which gap matters most? GoCheckMyEstate is that middle step. The guidance comes first, it's free, and the gap check runs entirely in your browser.

What we are and aren't

This website is operated by Go Check My Brands LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. Contact: hello@gocheckmyestate.com.

Privacy

There is no email capture anywhere on this site. Your results PDF and printable worksheet are generated in your browser.

The "Copy link to your results" button is how you save or share a result: your answers are encoded inside the link itself, so you can bookmark it or send it to your spouse, and opening it simply re-renders the result on that person's own device.

We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand aggregate site traffic. It does not use cookies or track you across sites.

Full details are on our Privacy page.

Built to be readable by everyone

Look for the A button in the bottom-left corner on any page. It enlarges the text (A / A+ / A++) and turns on higher contrast, and it remembers your choice as you move around the site. Estate planning often involves helping a parent, and the person the documents are about should be able to read this too.

How the site is funded (affiliate disclosure)

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you use one and end up purchasing or requesting a match, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how the site stays free. Two guardrails keep it honest: the gap-check verdict is deterministic (the same answers produce the same guidance for everyone, and no partner can change it), and the DIY-vs-attorney routing is driven only by your answers, even when the honest answer sends you away from the links we could earn from.
